Personal vs Professional licence?
Pete 22 Aug 2006 15:39:23
Hi

Can you tell me what the difference is between the EXECryptor Personal License and EXECryptor Professional Single License?

I understand the one touch feature is not in the Personal version, but what does ’no serial number support’ mean?

Hi

If no serial numbers can be generated, does that mean that with the Personal version only the code morphing is available?

Hello,

If you need serial numbers you can use EXECryptor Personal and HardkeyManager. In that way you can use EXCRyptor by assigning an external key file.

Hi
But the EXECryptor Personal + HardkeyManager cost more than the EXECryptor Professional? I’m looking to upgrade my security on a budget unfortunatly. Hence I am wondering if the perosnal ediction will meet my needs.

Hello,

Pete, thank you for your interest in EXECryptor.

The difference between EXECryptor Personal and Professional versions is that the Personal one have not built-in license keys generation/management. The protection features are the same in both editions.

Also we would like let you know we provide our customers with edition upgrade possibility. i.e. you purchase EXECryptor Personal then after while you need the Professional editions having serials generation/management features. So you will not have to purchase again the Professional version. In such case you’ll have only to pay the difference between these two editions and get the upgrade.

As for EXECryptor + HardKey License Manager these are two different applications based on the different approaches. HardKey License Manager is mostly licensing software and EXECryptor Professional is Application protection + Licensing.
Usually we recommend to use EXECryptor only except the cases our customers need a cross-platform licensing that is the key advantage of HardKey License Manager.

Kindest regards,
StrongBit Team

I have noticed that the ’anti-debug’ options appear greyed out. Is that because I’m using the trial version? Would they normally be available in the Personal version?

Many thanks

Yes, Anti-debug options would be available after registering product.

Does the personal version support encryption of code sections? The text referring to serial numbers is a bit confusing.
